Longer Kisses Lead to Happier Relationships

When is the last time you passionately kissed your partner outside of physical intimacy?

Research suggests that longer kisses can lead to happier relationships. Kissing is an intimate act, not just a simple physical interaction, but an act that helps build a stronger emotional bond with your partner. When couples spend more time in this intimate act, they create a shared experience that reinforces their bond and satisfaction within the relationship.

Extended kisses do more than spark romance. They stimulate our brain to release a cocktail of chemicals that leave us feeling euphoric and encourage feelings of affection and bonding. Oxytocin, often referred to as the 'love hormone,' is released during kissing and enhances feelings of attachment and closeness in a relationship. Similarly, dopamine, the 'feel-good hormone,' is also released, triggering the same part of the brain activated by addiction, reinforcing the desire for more.

Longer kisses can increase your partner's satisfaction with the physical aspects of your relationship. Physical satisfaction is a contributor to overall relationship satisfaction. So, by taking the time for longer kisses, you are increasing your physical and emotional satisfaction.

Lastly, longer kisses become a form of non-verbal communication that affirms your partner's importance to you. When couples take the time to engage in extended moments of kissing, it communicates commitment and that they are worth your time and attention.

So, longer kisses can lead to happier relationships; taking a few extra moments for a longer kiss might just be the key to a happier and more satisfying relationship.
