Build a Strong Foundation Before Your Big Day in Premarital Counseling
Your relationship is going great!
You’ve met that special someone and things are going great. You can talk about everything and nothing and you enjoy spending hours together. You have been intentional about not hiding who you are from your partner. You want them to see YOU and all that entails. As the relationship progresses, you want to make sure your partner is showing you their true self also. When you think about your conversations, you believe you are both being transparent but there seems to be just a couple of discrepancies between what has been said and your partner’s actions. You discount those inconsistencies because the connection you two share is indescribable.
You’ve been avoiding certain conversations!
You haven’t had many disagreements but there was that one fight. You got over it and things are great again. But as you sit and reflect, there are just a couple of things that haven’t been discussed in as much detail as you’d like.
Divorce isn’t an option!
You don’t have great role models to pattern your relationship after but you’ve talked to friends, watched videos, listened to podcasts or sermons, and even read books. You know people who’ve gotten married only to have bad marriages or to eventually get divorced and you don’t want that for your relationship. You didn’t wait this long to get married only to get divorced. So you’re going to do everything in your power to make sure divorce isn’t an option.
But before you get married, you want to find someone who can help you consider the minor issues and uncover any major issues if there are any.
We are Couples Counselors and Therapists and we can help!
We help couples tackle crucial topics before challenges arise, setting the foundation for a lasting marriage. In Premarital Counseling, our clients gain clarity on their expectations regarding roles, finances, sex, communication, boundaries, and many other topics. We help guide your conversations so they inspire connection instead of fear. Our sessions help you and your future spouse learn to listen, express yourselves clearly, and collaborate effectively.
Every couple is unique, and so is your counseling plan which will explore how your values, beliefs, and experiences can harmonize. We address the topics that are most important to you and your future spouse. You can choose from a 6-7 week program, an intensive one-day session, or sessions over multiple weekends or over multiple weeks to fit even your busy schedules.
We will assist you and your partner as you grow in your understanding of each other’s needs, wants, and feelings as you consider marriage. You have the option to meet for one day, multiple weekends, or weekly for 6-12 weeks. The session fee is $185 for a 75-90 minute session.
It’s easy to assume that love will naturally resolve conflicts, but you’ve lived enough life to know that poor communication doesn’t just go away; it is one of the biggest predictors of marital dissatisfaction. Even if everything seems great now, Premarital Counseling provides essential tools to keep your relationship strong while helping uncover potential blind spots you may not see yet.
Don’t leave your relationship to chance. Invest in a stronger, happier marriage by addressing the conversations, habits, and dreams that will carry you through a lifetime.
