Mindfulness, Hydrating Your Body One Cup at a Time
Today, you’ll have another opportunity to intentionally consume a product. This time I want you to use all five of your senses to enjoy a cup of tea. Go grab the supplies needed to make a cup of tea and let’s get started.
As you grab the tea to get started, observe the following:
What does the tea look like in bulk or in a bag? Describe it visually.
How does the loose tea or the tea bag feel in your hand? Describe the feeling of it.
What does it smell like? Which herbs do you smell?
What sounds does the tea make as you pour it from its container or pull out the bag? What sounds does the tea make as it is being steeped? What sounds does the water make?
Once the tea is ready, how does the tea taste? Describe the temperature. How does your mouth feel as you take it in? How does your throat feel? How do you feel after consuming a cup?
